  What is your favorite deodorant?
Posted by: jeffbezos - 2020-12-11, 06:47 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Hey guys, Jeff here.

I am currently writing this from my $165,000,000 mansion and I was wondering which deodorant is your favorite. Personally, I use 24 karat gold deodorant that is made with natural ingredients sourced from a private island in the Caribbean’s. Some people prefer AXE and some people prefer Old Spice. So, what’s your favorite/go-to?

Messenger Activity SDK Documentation + Activity Sandbox
Posted by: RebMillenn - 2020-12-06, 11:52 AM - Forum: Activities - No Replies

Linked in this post are downloads to the official Messenger Activity SDK, which includes documentation for writing activities and games and an incomplete version of the Tic-Tac-Toe Classic game, and an unofficial Activity sandbox that was developed to allow for testing of Activities without requiring usage of the official clients, instead relying on browser technology. Sadly the sandbox only works on IE, though (especially if the Activity you plan to test is reliant on IE technology). The Activity sandbox I believe was developed by "TheBlasphemer" around 15 years ago (September 2005) and contains a complete version of Tic-Tac-Toe and a custom activity designed for the tool. Here are the notes for it copied from a forum post by the author themselves:

Quote:Currently it supports almost everything, except filetransfer, and the _NewEnum method of Users (how does it work anyway?)
To test your app in the sandbox youu will have to do some minor modifications:
First, do a simple search&replace replacing "window.external" with "GetExternal()"
Next, add the function GetExternal to your script, steal it from one of the added test-games.
Lastly, remove any unnecesarry headers, like doctype and meta stuff, somehow this f*cks up the script Tongue

Currently, all I've tested is a modified tictactoe, and joosts test (which is slightly bugged Wink)

...

Things I still want to implement:
- Forcing 2packets/second
- measuring max datatraffic
- add packet delay

As stated by the author, the sandbox tool is unfinished and inelegant when it comes to how it emulates Activity functionality, so use at your own discretion.

Official Messenger Activity documentation + Tic-Tac-Toe example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/t22kxpgsqsdcy0...K.zip?dl=0
Unofficial Activity sandbox (unfinished, works on IE only): https://www.dropbox.com/s/pjgkppcnq7hije...x.rar?dl=0

  UNO Rewrite
Posted by: DrCalmDown - 2020-12-05, 03:18 PM - Forum: Activities - No Replies

Hello.
Long ago I intended to reprogram an Uno game, for which I drawn (and kept) a deck:

I'd like to try again, but I don't know where to start! The only web programming language I know is PHP, and some basic HTML if that counts. I have experience writing WormNET replicas for Worms: Armageddon and World Party, so I don't imagine Uno could be too difficult nor time consuming in comparison. In order for it to work, all it'd need are the players' nicks (for display) and emails (as internal ID).

Bug Unable to send/receive messages on escargot chat on any client/operating system
Posted by: MrScienceman2000 - 2020-11-30, 02:07 PM - Forum: Windows Live Messenger - Replies (13)

Since Escargot chat got server update I have been unable to send or receive messages on my account on any supported prepatched clients. I have been trying 4.5 on windows 98 second edition, 7.5 on windows xp, vista, win7 and win10 and windows live messenger 8.1 on Windows 10. Each time I can login just fine and view my own profile, contacts or escargot today, but when try send message to contact who is online fails with "Your message could not be delivered to all recipients". Also I am unable to see profile pictures of active users even they would use messenger 7.0 or higher. If any of my contacts try send message to me, that person messenger shows it as sent but I never receive it. I have been diagnosing this issue since it started with no luck. So far been trying fresh install, change dns off from 1.1.1.1, disable windows firewall, reinstall messenger using one having new patching method from escargot website, enable and disable ssl and enabling tls on internet explorer. Could this be server side issue on my account that prevents me from sending messages? I can login just fine to client, login to escargot site and change my password but sending messages is impossible.

Bug Bug: Blocked contacts randomly get unblocked
Posted by: PF94 - 2020-11-28, 06:51 PM - Forum: Bug Reports - No Replies

I've blocked 2 contacts and whenever I login back to Escargot (after I wake up/reconnect after I got randomly disconnected/relogin after the server's back up), they get unblocked. So whenever they reconnect, I quickly have to click "Block".

I'm on '09 (which for some reason is buggy, tons of freezing after I login) and this issue started to happen after '09 support came out.

What could be causing this issue? Huh

  WLM 2009 not installing[SOLVED]
Posted by: Hoparduc05 - 2020-11-22, 08:34 AM - Forum: Windows Live Messenger - Replies (4)

"Whenever I try to install the patched version of Windows Live Messenger 2009, it gives me an error.
Setup details show this(I've downloaded the hungarian installler)"

If the Messenger exe is missing, your antivirus might be blocking and removing the program.
Try reinstalling it with your real-time protection off, then add th Windows Live folder to exceptions.
it should do well(plus, you can raise the shields back up).
